Description
Little Kale here was fished out of a vegetable garden where he had dug up the entire kale patch looking for grubs - hence his name. Thinking they had an ordinary furry menace on their hands, the owners of the garden had set a bandicoot trap with the intention of releasing this little guy across the creek where he could no longer bother them. When they found themselves with a baby dragon instead, they were understandably confused. Thankfully the Sanctuary for Impossible Things was able to intercept their call to the Queensland Parks and Wildlife office and we sent a few personnel down there to collect him. The cover story; an escaped guinea pig from the local primary school's fancy dress pet competition. Apparently they bought it... though personally I think we need to come up with a better line. At least they didn't say gas leak again.
We were going to release Kale back into the wild, but his love for vegetable grubs seems to be a bit of a problem; we fear that if we release him, he will find his way back to civilisation sooner or later and risk the exposure of his species.
Therefore she will be put up for adoption! His new owner will receive a care booklet and contact details for his previous keepers should they need any assistance. He will be able to find food and water on his own but needs somewhere safe to live. Apologies for any holes that may appear in your gardens post-adoption.
