Description
Here's a species of "sloth" I made up. It actually has nothing to do with a sloth, it's a different species completely. It just sort of looks like one so I call it a sloth.

I know the anatomy is very impractical here, but I like the short, stubby look.

About the animal... as you can see, it has a very large, spherical mouth lined with razor sharp teeth. The outer mouth is for defense, chopping its prey and some other use I'm currently thinking of. The outer mouth can close (horizontally). If it feels the need to bite an attacking animal it extends its teeth while pulling back the skin around its mouth, almost like a shark, and the teeth can move forward or back and can close around the center.

The inner mouth is for chewing prey.

This is another ballistic ambush animal, so its tongue is very long, has four fingers lined with sharp claws, and is stored in a pouch under its throat (but you can't see it). To capture prey it uses powerful muscles to shoot the tongue forward and grab the prey within its clawed fingers, reeling it back with the same muscle power.

The pupils of the animal are very special. It detects very small movements and can change the mode of its vision.
