Awww, thank you so much! Yes, my character is meant to look quite bizzare—he is an amalgamation of many creatures. Sorry for the late reply!

No worries, and most welcome. He reminds a bit of the old Maxis mascots; those are faces that are hard to refuse.

This is the cutest, cuddliest, prettiest demon prince I've ever seen. He looks like some sort of little fantasy pet that you pick up, snuggle, and let ride on your shoulder until he grows too big. You did a strangely good job of incorporating a lot of elements that would normally make a being look gross or menacing, while making the overall effect downright cute.

Sorry for the late reply, but awww, you’ve moved me very much—heck, you’ve made my day! I’m so happy that you took the time to comment! Yeah, the Demon Prince was meant to look both menacing, yet very adorable; I’m really glad this is how you perceived it because it was the message I wanted to get across!

Haha, "sorry for the late reply" is often my line. I'm glad to hear I made your day!
I think the effect of the picture comes largely from those big, liquid eyes, and how small and furry he looks. It's only after that first impression wears off enough that one looks closer that one begins to notice that the "fur" is actually feathers or hairy tendrils, the neck frill seems to be made of worms, his tail is covered in eyeballs, etc.

Hmmm, you have a serious eye for detail! I suppose that was the effect I was going for—I really wanted the Demon Prince to look like a combination of danger and adorbableness—so it was tricky to understand whether to fear or trust the odd creature. XD I’m laughing at the word “small” because the Demon Prince is very large and tall. However, it is hard to tell; as there is nothing to compare the creature’s size to.

Thank you! Without anything else in the picture for scale, it IS hard to determine the prince's size. I think my impression of smallness came from the large head-to-body ratio and the big eyes, since I associate those features with children and small animals.

Agreed--determining how large the Demon Prince is is virtually impossible with the art piece.
Yeah, you've made a very good point there.
I suppose the Demon Prince kind of reminds of a baby animal.
It does have those kinds of features associated with that, so that's why one would get that impression.
