Description: First off, I am aware of a photography issue where the light glares at the upper left-hand corner, but bear with me, as this art piece was a conceptual exploration. This artwork tested the boundaries of my creativity, as this creature amalgamates butterfly, iguana, rattlesnake, bird, deer, and other anatomies that one usually would not think to mash together.
I am uncertain what this peculiar creature is or will be, but I have a gut instinct that this is the beginning of something truly remarkable. I will remember and cherish this creature as I step into developing my fantasy world.

I'd like to start off with, wow, your artwork caught my eye immediately! As someone who isn't really too experienced in drawing animals and creatures and stuff, I'm amazed at the level of detail you put into this! One thing I can kinda say though, is that the creature's left side of the body seems a bit lacking in mass in the shoulder-ish area. Maybe it's just me, but the perspective seems a bit off in that respect. Or is that more fur/hide? In addition to, the eyes on the tail, some of them have eyelids and others are wide open. It might look super cool if you did a sort of progression of the eye closing the higher up it goes! Other than that, amazing use of color and great attention to detail! Your blending is also super on point. You managed to make the creature look cute, and almost playful, while adding that creepy/dark vibe. He kind of reminds me of Brightwing from WoW/HoTs!
I've also taken a small peek at your other works, and I gotta say, I'm a fan of your style! Keep producing cool artwork!

Yah, the creature is kind of interesting because it's kind of an alien being in essence; as part of its design, it doesn't really have any shoulder mass, just lots of orange and green plummage, striking butterfly wings, and sensory antennas just to make it look larger and more beautiful to attract a mate. (The creature is male, by the way and is a Royal demon, so that also contributes to the vast range of colors. Not all demons are as colorful as this one; the less colorful the demon, the lower on the hierarchy it is. White is despised because it is the absence of color and with black, it depends. For war class demons, it is preferred, so they can blend in better with the shadows, but for other types of demons, black isn't a preferred color.) It actually uses its tail to hypnotize others, taking control of their minds. Additionally, because it doesn't really use its forearms for locomotion, so it doesn't need big muscly shoulders, rather just has really large muscular hind quarters with lots of sub-joints. On top of that, with less shoulder mass, the creature looks cuter and more approachable; it looks like a big, furry stuffed animal, and that helps lure humans to them, so they have the opportunity to take control of them.
I agree with you that the perspective is off, but it was my eighth grade self that drew this, and back then, I hadn't nailed perspective. Shrug, even now, I'm not sure if I've nailed it. I'm a freshman now, and I improved a lot with Prismacolor pencils. I re-did the Demon Prince super recently, and it's right here:

Anyways, your idea with having the eyes on the tail progressively start opening more the higher up it goes is super interesting! I'm still trying to decide what the different classes of demons are going to look like, and I'll probably use your idea when I get around to drawing the war class demon, as it seems more sinister and creepy.

Hello, I've seen your project at projectcomment and I'm going to review it!
to begin with, really good job with the whole idea/vividness/coloring and basically everything, caught my attention as soon as I saw it, the whole concept is great to say the least, you're a very good artist as I've seen from your other projects, and hope to get your deserved attention/appreciation!
to do something this great using only sharpies and markers and pencils.. it's extraordinary I can't say much about the things done with less perfection in this piece but a few things, the white on the left horn, which I guess was supposed to look like a highlight, but gotta say that it doesn't look like that, and the area with the fingers/claws looks too clogged, I can't tell what is what or what exactly is going on there, maybe it's only me, but it's bothering me to say the least. overall great work with very great control over flaws, I don't see any way you could've done this with more perfection!

The whitish area on the horn is actually because I had to photograph my art piece, so light got reflected back; I'm a freshman, so I don't really have access to a scanner.
I do get what you mean about the finger/claws looking a little clogged; yah, I agree with you there. I'm still working on getting good highlights and shadows on digits in general using markers, sharpies, and pencils. I'm sure I'll get there some day!
Overall, I really appreciate that you spent time commenting on my art piece, and I hope that you consider checking out some of my other art pieces.

Me, too! I'm just a student just starting high school, so I haven't purchased a scanner yet...That's why it's kind of small. I had to photograph it, and my phone can only store so much space for a large piece. I hope you can still appreciate the art piece, though. I've re-posted it, so it will be bigger, and you'll be able to see all of the details!
