Description: After drawing realistic dogs and cats, I recognized that I had never attempted to depict a natural fox. For this reason, I diverted attention to searching for fox references.

Once I started sketching, I chose to take a risk and imagined a different perspective than that of the photograph's. I imagined that the fox was sat on its haunches and looking upward toward the viewer, and I was surprised that I managed to pull it off. The fox also carries a more innocent, gentle quality than that of the original photograph, while it remains true to the actual animal.
