One could simply step outside the house and find them just about everywhere over here (year-round).

Why do male colors always seem to be more vibrant? This carndinal..Those kinds of ducks with the green heads.. Is it only to attract mates?

I love cardinals-one of the most beautiful birds-the red is amazing-they sometimes fly in my backyard-they are so fast-it is hard to get a photo of one.

We get lots of them over here. Sometimes up to a dozen of them sitting on the same tree.

Wow-you are so lucky-we only have 4 on our street and I can't get a photo-it is frustrating.

A to the M to the A to the Z to the I to the N to the G. ( that sounds so bad ).
any ways, the photo is, as I mantioned, amazing.
the title is witty and amusing.

Holy crap that's one big cardinal! Obviously you need luck to find one like this, but the skill in taking this shot seems amazing. I love the deep red, but also the slightly parted beak, and the very crisp focus with the soft background. In fact, there's nothing about this photo and its subject I don't love.

This one was in the process of swallowing the seeds from a frozen berry it just picked from the tree. Gotta admire their winter surviving skills.

Superb shot! Such bright plumage. Some of the males near my house aren't so bright.
