It does pull one's heartstrings a little, huh? Though every volume, I have noticed a case of deijavu in each situation between Hachi and Nana (like with Hachi's distaste towards Misato that she was taking Nana away from her, and then later on in the story Nana's suddenly going through the same thing with hatred towards Takumi for taking control of Hachi). Have you noticed that chain-reaction in the manga and anime?

Yep, I noticed that. I never thought of it as a déjà vu, but I could not deny that most of the situations were linked with each others, and most of them reminded some others happened before.
I’ve always liked the fact that Ai Yazawa created a huge red thread connecting the past to the present^^
