Yeeesss, I'm aware that Detective Conan is a show for little boys... most of my fav series are. xD And even though I've known this series for years, I've only recently grown to really like it.Mostly because of Heiji, he's just hilarious... and his interaction with little Shinichi. They're so dorky when they're together, and it's fun to watch them solve cases.
I'm tempted to draw a parody of "Dude, where's my car" with those two.

Show for little boys? I know at one point Heiji/Harley said "you shouldn't let kids see dead bodies". besides, I'm a teenage girl watching this so...... eh, whatever, I love mystery shtuff. Even when I was little, My favorite cartoon from as far back as I can remember until age 7 was Scooby Doo. I also had a lot of Encylopedia Brown books, Jigsaw Jones books, and a set of Nancy Drew books. Even now my favorite show involving real people(aka, not cartoon) is Castle, which is murder mysteries, but like Detective Conan, even though there are mostly murders, there are also a few others that are about kidnapping or thievery, and sometimes those involve murder too.
and yes, I did type "Heiji/Harley" up there, because if you didn't know, when the series came to America, they Americanized the names, but most only know either the Japanese or American name so I put the slash to show they're the same person.

also, once Kaito Kid was added into the cast, I had to keep watching. Even if it's just tricks and illusions, I have a thing for magic and supernatural shtuff. which is all my other favorits shows and books.

I agree with you. Some of the best episodes involve Heiji and Conan running around town/the country solving cases, and when not working, pulling pranks on one another. They act like a big brother and little brother who don't always get along but at the end of the day still look after each other.
As for the art, I just imagine Shinichi thinking, "what is it with everyone picking me up?"

This made me giggle so much. I love it when Harley/Heiji shows up. His interactions with Conan/Jimmy/Shinichi amuse me to no end and this piece really captures that playful antagonism.

yeah i've only recently started to like case closed too and i also like heiji and conan's relationship, it was really funny when heiji first found out that conan was shinichi. But i really like the way you placed them together. Poor Conan always being dragged in to things, but i've got to say i don't think this is for people to young a few years ago i tried to get my sister watching this was really didn't like it and now that she's old enough i can't get her to watch it

Ahahaha Shinichi and Heiji are awesome. And there is no reason to be embarrassed by a love for this show, because it is spectacular. I think it has something that appeals to all ages, so everyone can enjoy it. I'm almost 20, and I can't get enough of it.
