Description
The HM-QAA 3, or Cennetaur, was designed in response to the rise in high mobility and heavy firepower assault mechs that out maneuvered and out performed previous generations of heavy assault platforms, without sacrificing the heavy armament and siege scale weapons that are only possible with the heavier weight class weapon platforms or atmosphere capable carriers. The Cennetaur replaces a standard locomotive array for a customized Capra class legs, with duo gallop assault treads. Unfortunately under combat conditions the assault treads proved unable to operate at full speed for extended periods of time, with the increased load brought on by the mech causing parts failure within an hour of operating at top speeds. As a result, the mech's max speed was limited for standard operations, with its full potential only usable in bursts with a minuet long maximum, allowing the Cennetaur to make quick dodges, and surprise counter charges against lighter faster mechs. The Cennetaur has a standard weapon compliment of a hailstorm rocket array, a triple John Henry turret, and a duo pile-bunker augmented fist. Over all the Cennetaur has earned a reputation as a sturdy and stable long range combatant, with just enough mobility and defenses to prove a threat against assault mechs
