I'm never drawing snakes again. Ever. Can you guess exactly how many scales I had to draw on her?
This is my attempt at a new art style. I'm still struggling, and not only that, I now have no idea what category my art will fall under. I first did the sketch, then used the rough sketch as an outline for colour borders, and after I started on the snake skin the sketch was deleted.
I'm very happy with this piece. Originally it started as a Corel Painter attempt piece, and I failed that, so I went back to good ol' Photoshop. Everything except the two moons were all done by hand (the two moons were stocks off google).
This is a Green Tree Python (Morelia Viridis, not to be confused with Emerald Tree Boa). She's searching for food to hunt at night, and somebody just caught her attention.
And please pay no attention to the scanty way she's dressed. Ever seen snakes wear clothes? XD

it does look amazing though and i love the way she is looped around the branch, its very natural
