Description Double edit: ;_; I've received many requests as comissions for these wings... the problem is, I cannot make you a pair unless I can meet you in real life. This is because of the really extremely nitpicky measurements of an ear--the length, width, thickness, angle, and arch of your ear all need to be considered when making these. So unfortunately, commissions won't be happening until I figure out a good way to take these measurements...

I had designed and planned for wing earrings like these for a while... couldn't ever find a pair, so I DECIDED TO MAKE THEM D< getting pretty experimental here...

The wings can be worn in two ways: hanging down (which looks quite nice with the right arch) and flaring up (which protrudes out of my hair and makes me look elfish 8))

I'm pretty sure I don't own a copyright to these kind of wings (or do I? O_O) But if you do decide to make your own because you've been inspired by these, please message me! I'd love to see what you've made!

This is my take on them. I quite like these. They're not heavy at all, contrary to popular belief, and are quite comfortable to wear if you make your support wires wide enough to just clip onto your ears They are also eye-catching, and I get lots of comments on them.

Total time: 7 hours making. 3.5 hours a wing. These babies take forever, believe me.

I am, unfortunately, unable to make customs.  I tried.  The specifics on measuring a person's ears are really terribly glitchy and difficult, plus these are clay, so they don't bend like metal wing earrings.  I was going to do a tutorial years ago but.... alas ;_;

Have the client roll ink onto their ears and then use their ear the same way one would use a stamp. They could then mail you the imprint of their ear. (they could wash the ink off easily as long as they got the right kind, or were willing to use solvents if they used more permanent inks). Once they made the imprint they could mail them to you (or imprint onto basic graph paper and e-mail them to you, then even if the size changed you could figure out the correct measurements based upon the normal measurements of standard graph paper). That way you could have the exact info (shape/measurements) of their ear Hope that makes sense (it makes sense to me...but then I am not usually considered normal!)

White polymer clay. Sculpey. though i believe Fimo is better, according to some websites, as it is more durable.

Very lovely I like the curve of your feathers! And I hope you got it to attach to her ears properly, it's really painful if done wrong ;_;

out of curiosity, what did you use for the upper ear hook? I had to use spare wires hanging around--got any suggestions for something better?

I use 2.5mm copper wire. I flexed them as close as possible to the form of auricles. And for the test, within 3 hours at home I wearing this attachment on my ears (without earrings of course) and about after 30 minutes I understood that somewhere lost one of my attachment!! But I soon found it... It is still hanging on my ear. but I wasn't feel any pain or discomfort of.
In my opinion that is the most comfortable and good holding on ear type of attachment.

the only problem is if even the slightest measurement is off... bleh the whole earring would go out of place X_X plus, I'm not sure how I'm going to get an ear model for this O_O

I am indeed planning to make a tutorial at some point... probably in the summer, when I have time I'm thinking of ways to make these wear-able for people who don't have piercings, though there won't be the hanging-down wing function of I do so. I say keep a watch out in the next month or two of how to make these XD

have you ever considered purchasing ear cuffs? a lot of deviants sell them and they can be surgical steel or nickel, and don't require piercings 8) [link] [link] I am actually looking forward to trying to make these for people who don't have piercings (like my sister and friend etc ) and you could look into them, a lot of deviants can benefit from patronage
