For photo 1 Tabletop Theatre.

She's my new BJD Siriana, an Islanddoll Crystal MSD. I got her on May 26 2013 from Anime North and it was really surprising to find her there since I've been eyeing her sculpt for a while. She photographs amazingly.

Had to control mood, lighting, pose, scene, props... everything, basically, and without photoshop. The only bits I photoshopped out were stray hairs and a bit of a saturation fix; the rest of the lighting was literally done with spotlights/softlights/skylight arghghgh.

The assignment was to photograph four images that look like they have a narrative quality. Siriana really is a beautiful doll, and it kind of made me feel sad to put her in a cage! I took a good five hundred photos for this assignment and slaved through several of them just to find four. This one is number 3.
