Description The Stellar Cove, the most famous example of the MC77 line of Mon Calamari. Built in secrecy two years after the Imperial invasion and occupation of Dac, the Stellar Cove would remain hidden deep within the southern sub-ocean. Along with hundreds of other secretly constructed Mon Calamari warships she would remain under the impenetrably thick floating ice-continent that made up Dac's south pole until their discovery by an Imperial mapping droid by sheer accident. This discovery would force over 300 starships to flee Dac once again, becoming the second large Mon Calamari fleet forced to flee their home world in less than 3 years. Though many of her sister ships would be destroyed during their emergence from the deep ocean or during the ascent through the atmosphere, the Stellar Cove herself would be successful in escaping Dac alongside the MC65 cruiser Mare Profundus. At some point the two ships would eventually rejoin many of their Mon Cala sister ships within the growing Rebel Alliance fleet, these two ships would form part of the Rebel Expeditionary Fleet alongside the Nitimini Endeavor and Devareen, a pair of MC75's. Prior to the Battle of Yavin 4, the Expeditionary Fleet would be called back to Yavin to begin the evacuation of the Rebel Base there before the Death Star attacked, however they would be delayed by a chance encounter with an Imperial patrol force, forcing the Nitimini Endeavor to be the only vessel of the fleet to return to Yavin to assist in the evacuation while the rest of the Expeditionary Fleet engaged the Imperial Patrol Fleet. Damaged after the battle, the Stellar Cove would be forced to return to Yavin under their secondary hyperdrive, delaying their arrival but miraculously arriving just in time to rescue the Nitimini Endeavor, which herself had been busy with her own battle.

This ship is depicted at my own scale, (1px = 0.4m).
