Up until this point, Solaris could only imagine what saving life felt like, the inner strength and courage needed, and the instinct to protect rising up all the while. The little wyngling had raced many of his friends, slowly building up his speed and stamina every time. He knew his speed would be important as a hero, but never exactly knew when it would be needed. The yellow wyngling hadn't focused much on strength, but even a puckoo could lift a small boulder if underwater. These factors, as well as the need to save his friend drove Solaris into a serious state so foreign, yet so natural, he paid it no mind as he saved a life.
Looks like he might need to accompany Ember into the woods from now on, just in case...

WOW this took three days! But I gotta say, I love the turnout! It isn't easy applying 3 layers of shading, 1 layer of lighting, and 3 layers of shadows to a comic strip! But what I'm most proud of is the bottom of the lake with the sun's rays penetrating the water. So thanks, MegatropiaQueen for letting me do part 2 of Ember's incident. ^^
