Please imagine the spaces in the title are alright. Damn title limitations.What inspired me to draw this...erm, picture, was the words at the very bottom of this page ([link] ) : "He was bitter and he was vindictive... "
As I read that,I immediately thought of the "Stranger Than Fiction" movie, and the theme about what would happen if the author and his character were aware of each other's existence. And of course, this was the reaction I could picture from that particular character. He was supposed to be in a "What the hell, you put me through all that s**t, you killed me and on top of that you're trying to JUDGE me?!!!" kind of mood...well... I dunno, I was just looking for something to draw for the fans. I found it cute.
Fictional characters are people too, you know. And they are NOT bitter and vindictive. Not one bit.

I think JK can say whatever she wants about her characters, as they are after all characters. But when we consider Snape as a real person--and indeed his story is not a one that is purely fictional. Countless real, living people have suffered similar plights-- it is completely wrong and unfair to sum up his life, all his hopes, dreams, decisions, right or wrong, his past, motives, and not least of all his ultimate fate as "bitter and vindictive." To minimize someone's struggle to two words--especially ones so dismissive--is shortsighted and cruel.

She gives him a horrid childhood, makes him a social outcast as a teenager, throws in a lifelong unrequited love for good measure....and let's see....oh, yeah, and then makes him live each and every day with the threat of torture and death hanging over him. Then she has the audacity to call him bitter and vindictive! Wtf did she expect?! The stupid cow....
