No, the dog was indeed protecting them as a sort of guardian spirit
You see when they enter the cave that the dog is weary and dis-concerned with the cave, being that it can sense something off, which is why it ends up following the other two. When Arthur gets possessed by whatever is within the cave, Ben rips off his arm in order to remove the spirit and prevent any further harm. Β Also his behaviour within the whole video generally presents him as a companion to the group, and in no way a enemy.
Also note the use of colour symbolism throughout the video. Ben is represented by red. while the spirit which caused everything is represented by green. If it was Ben, it would make sense that Arthur's arm and eye would have turned red, not green. Similar symbolism plays a role in presenting Ben's friendship, the fact his glasses are the same colour as Arthur's colour, yellow. Theory is he's a fox spirit somehow associated to Arthur, and in no way the cause of the misfortune.

They were all disconcerned with the cave. Β The spirit i represented by green? Β Please inform me where this is, because the only green I recall is Arthur being possessed, which is simply common symbolism for evil/possession. Β Yes, each character has color symbolism, red yellow blue and purple, but that doesn't mean everything in the video has it, that's overthinking a bit.
Besides, why does Ben's mirrors crack? Β Why is he shown in a ghastly sillhouette behind Arthur? Β Why is it in the pan-up shot at 3:11 all the characters show their inner traits and Ben's is the ghastly sillhouette and demon? Β Why does the demon have the same glasses as him?
Note that MysteryBen has stated he doesn't plan on explaining the story, therefore leaving it up to interpretation, so there is no right or wrong. Β Your theory just has too many plotholes for me to take to it though.

actually, the dog didn't do anything except protect them, Arthur pushed Lewis because he became possessed from something in the cave, ben (the dog) bit Arthurs arm off after he pushed Lewis to prevent the thing possessing him from completely taking over him and causing more damage.

In the flashback at 2:58 you'll notice in the bottom left corner that Vivi was actually in that room by the spikes. Β This means she witnessed Lewis dieing, and since they were a couple it must've been pretty traumatic.
The part where they fall past the mirrors you'll notice each mirror has something different. Β Mystery/Ben's cracks (implying there's something more sinister to him), Arthur's has no arm (the one that got possessed), and Vivi's has no eyes (implying she either lost her memory or blocked out the moment Lewis died).
A few other easy-to-miss things:
-3:00 as Arthur's being possessed Mystery/Ben is behind him in a sinister-like silhouette
-3:11 during that pan-up shot all 3 characters show their mirror traits again
-3:15 the demon in the picture is holding Arthur's severed arm
-3:16 Mystery/Ben is shown in the sinister silhouette again, this time with the demon picture behind him, implying he is the demon

Thank you, the mirrored images were indeed a bit difficult. Β Lewis's legs were originally hidden more behind the characters in the sketch, but things got moved around and I then wanted his body to kinda blend away into the background. Β Obviously that didn't really happen in the end so...oooo he's a spooky ghost oooohhhhh spookyooooooooooo!
