Description This Boeing 727-41, PP-VLD, was purchased new by Varig in 1970, and was the company's first jet dedicated specifically to domestic flights, although Varig flew some Caravelles on these routes in the early 1960s.

The plane was converted into a pure freighter in July 1989, and flew in VarigLog colors. It was paralyzed in 2005, with the bankruptcy of Varig, and was stored outdoors at Salgado Filho Airport, in Porto Alegre.

It was auctioned on June 28, 2012, auctioned off, but not removed from the site, where it continues today. There is news, however, that it will be restored and preserved.
