that is very disturbing, how unbalanced it is, and might crumble at any moment, and yet obviously it stands.

very nice!

very good work - and the statement it radiates is also very strong! thanx for sharing and hope you can raise the money for the bronze, I'd say it would be definitly worth the money.

Thanx for your comment.
I hesitate since several months to make it in bronze, no due to some money problems but undoubtly due to self-esteem conflicts...
Do I deserve the bronze?

A very evocative work Souzi.....do you feel that you have achieved what you wanted to say....the hand 'pressing' down on the head is such a very strong image.

I know I've achieved what I needed to express...
But I did'nt know it before beginning.
I start from scratch, no sketch, no project and I let my mind guiding my fingers freely and when it's over I try to understand the result.
It's more a psychanalytic approach than artistic .

So the interpretation is very intimate , probably a remanence of my own sufferings during early childhood (because I find the same recurrent themes on a lot of drawings I've done when I was a teenager) ,
There's inside a very personnal and intricate mix of anxieties expressed: death, religion, parents and sexuality.

This sculpture is not the result of a will nor a desire, just the trace of my story that escapes from me, and it provides clues yet mysterious ...

(Very difficult for me to say correctly in english what I mean, I hope it don't sounds too weird )

The main problem is the cost of the process.
You have to realize a silicone mold then you cast one wax per bronze you wanna do, then you bring the wax to the foundry and they do the rest, I think I'd have to pay for a such a piece approx $3000 for each bronze...
Thanx for your appreciation

wow...I had no idea...at that price, I guess I'd hesitate, too! still, I think its beautiful work and believe it would be well worth the money...

I'll do the mold then cast in resin, then I'll see
