Description About the illustration: it is a character from a children's story about a poor girl, who was selling matches in the middle of the winter. She wanted to get warm, so she started lighting the matches. And through the light of the small fire she started getting hallucinations about food, a warm house... At the end she freezes... sadly...

So, here I am showing the difference between her real cold life on the left and the isolated world of here last hallucinations.

Woow. Absolutely brilliant interpretation.
The story was written by the danish fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen, who is one of the absolutely most famous writers in this genre. I love his works.
Thsi story is originally called " Pigen Med Fyrstikkerne" ( The Girl With The Matches )

Other of H.C. Andersens brilliant and often tragic stories are : " The Mother, The Little Tin Soldier " all of them are absolutely worthwhile reading, also for adults.

Iยดm really fond of this interpretation Maja.
