Description Dont know if montage is the right word... Anyway, I apologise for the slight Tolo spam in your inboxes! This is just a collection of previous shots, put together for referencing convenience. Anyway, yeah haha...

So, Tolo is a one of a kind, posable art doll. He represents the rare Toloraptor, a beautiful flightless bird known for its quick temper, wicked claws, and stunning plumage. Toloraptors are very territorial, but if you can gain its trust, it will defend you with its life.

And, this hand made, furred and feathered little fiend is for sale! Reluctantly, I must admit, cos I loves him so much, but I need money. So, check out his etsy page here: [link]
The etsy page also has information on how I made him, which I cant be bothered to type here
I may haggle on his price if you want him. And remember, Buy anything in my shop, commision a hat half price! (full price averages at £10-25 so you get a bargain!)

Enjoy! All comments and critisism welcome and appreciated!

Beautiful details with the pheasant feathers on the head. What did you use to attach them?

Thank you! And to attach them, I cut them short, then trimmed about 3mm of the strands, so there was a slightly bristly spike, then just stuck it into wet milliput clay. The milliput dried around the bristles making them nice and secure ^^ On the wings I did the same thing, but used hot glue instead of milliput, as the milliput wasnt strong enough to hold the weight of the feathers

Ah smart! I usually use hot glue but sometimes it can seep through the feathers and look a bit rubbish when you're doing the very front ones.

Yeah, I found hot glue was a bit of a pain in the butt to use, as the feathers had natural oils on them, I found the glue kept sliding off XD But yeah, the milliput works wonders, and for small feathers, I highly recommend it

I wash all my feathers in fairy liquid and vinegar to get rid of grease and parasites. I had some nasty experiences with lice and feather-mites once, so if I get feathers that are greasy they are WASHED - don't want them infecting my whole stock. Just a word of warning Something to be careful of, ESPECIALLY with wild bird feathers like pheasants. (Of course if you bought a pack of feathers they're usually okay but your large variety looks like you got them from a skin and I get my skins from gamekeeper friends, who never wash or treat them.)

Oh Goodness that hadnt even occured to me! I hadnt really noticed the feathers being greasy until I started glueing them, and I hadnt thought there would be a way of fixing that. Thanks for the advice, I will definitely get all my feathers washed from now on!
