oooOOOOOH this is great!! I love all the expressions (especially Al's and Rose's) and the crowd~ Your choices for the court are so great! (I didn't know Akaszik was stepping down though, I gotta go and read through those journaks!)
Bosemann creepin behind everyone is cracking me up, and all the dialogue! Jo herself probably has no idea how to play go but man, she'll stick up for you if you want a turn (you'll see she'll decline from playing herself in part of her 'anger' task, she's not the best loser XD)
Actually when I finish her fear task, you'll see she can kind of relate to Avie's fear (a little, at least. She can't imagine being that smart or /ever/ living that long haha)
Also, Mamoru looks so handsome in that shirt! I just love this all around~

I really do!
I hope I can get those tasks up soon! I underestimated how long everything was going to take |D
haha yeah happy is the right feeling for the hugging sketch C: I just felt bad about the fear task haha
Jo would definitely be curious about him though most of his experiences would be out of the realm of her knowledge. Eliot on the other hand would absolutely be fascinated by him!

Oh, cool! It's interesting how Aevie likes when people underestimate him (cause I wouldn't) and he seems very confident that he would win!

Thank you so much for featuring Winona in your picture. She looks wonderful. This entire piece seems so well thought out and and features some of my favorite characters from this round. I love how you expressed all of their personalities, even taking into account Belthreins dislike for politics.
I'm happy that Aevie found something to entertain himself with.
Excelent job and thank you again

Thank you! Glad you like that detail Well, I usually use real games when drawing go matches since it's too complicated game to make up all the moves on my own. I'm 8 kyu in that game so anything I will think of will be no better. The game on the other drawing where Aevie plays with Irestos is also a real game, but I don't remember anymore whose game it was (only that it was a computer vs a professional player too and I placed Aevie as a computer too, and he won there as well ).
I tried to mimic the atmosphere present on our Polish summer go camp (yeah, we have a thing like that here) where people play everywhere and if there's a match of two high ranked players, other players crowd around them to watch. It's pretty rude to make such noise as they do here, though.
(There's in fact, I updated the file with better positioned text so that Bosemann's fabulous black suit doesn't serve as a background to black writing. )
Thank you for the kind words about my creative work! I'm always delighted to participate in this project, it keeps my creative side well oiled, if I can put it this way. I'm happy you think I'm a good admin, I try my best 👍: 0 ⏩: 0

AH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAAAAH!!! XD I'm laughing too hard right now!!! This is epic, just epic. PURE FREAKIN AWESOMENESS Even though Tonii would probably only say that if she'd had one too many drinks. XD
(She does secretly like to beat guys! How did you know?!?!? Lol! XD)
They all look fabulous!!!
Congrats to Alwen, Ksenia, Winona, and Mamoru!!!

Lol, I guess? I never really thought about it. But I'll bet she just gets bold... very bold after drinking one too many. Challenging someone older than her and bieng somewhat disrespectful to her elders, like she is here. XD Laughing boisterously and using too much of her strength on someone, like she did with Lord Baan. >w<
Hee hee!

My goodness - I mean, I knew what to expect after your brilliant previews, but this- this blows my mind! Seriously, my jaws are clenching almost painfully from the amount of smiling! XD (When I first saw both this and Anger Management Advice, I had to take a short walk simply to redirect my excitement! It's amazing!) (Also, gosh, thank you for your kind words about me too - I truly did not expect it and absolutely appreciate it Thank you very much!)
First of all, THANK YOU for your presence at the OCT, for Aevie, and for letting Al engage in a game of go with him, and for crowning Al with the most beautiful paper crown I've ever seen! Thankfully, he seems too focussed on his game to be smug about finally attaining lordship over something Also, wow - the shading of his face is incredible, and as I mentioned before, I still love the differences between Aevie and Al in poses and playing styles; and to model their game after Lee Sedol vs AlphaGo is absolutely brilliant! A 9th(?) dan player versus the very first robot to win four out of five games! Ah, how I love this~! Al definitely had it coming for him though, especially after an underhanded but politely-framed comment on Aevie's eating habits. Oh well, you get what you deserve sometimes - and Aevie's choice of retaliation via go might just be the best - most harmless - way to get even
The way you drew the other characters is amazing, too! Draymond's silent judgment, Bösemann's (which cracked me up XD), and Belthrein who is pleased that there's no politics involved this time around (I love how you gave him a drinking pull, too!), while Trowan shows interest in the game. And Karil looks so cute with his little pout - and Clara, with her bow, looks great, too!
Green really is Rose's color, and I love how Aevie's parental streak shines through in caring for Rose and Mamoru Jo's grin and "...want me to TELL them?" actually had me giggling aloud - and Winona looks so pretty in your style! Tonii's smile and challenge is pretty brilliant, too (her eyes really stand out!)
Crowning Ksenia as queen really is great! The purple decoration of the crown suits her, and I really enjoy how you drew her soft expression as she watches the game unfold. Akaszik really deserves as much as a good portrayal of her kind oc, especially considering she's been the heart and soul of this group, the founder herself. And Mamoru - Mamoru looks absolutely fantastic! That thoughtful pout, the red blouse- it fits him. Congrats to Zakuro-Kona for having created such a beautiful character, and now, prince!
I'm still grinning, even while I type - this drawing really warmed me. It made my day, thank you, sincerely!

Once we agreed with Akaszik it's the interaction of people who keep this project running the most, so I don't see any other way than to appreciate the author Appreciating the character is fun too, but even if I treat my characters as real people sometimes, they're still just imaginary people. Real people are the source of them and all the fun that comes along
I'm... happy? sorry? to blow your mind and cause your jaws to ache This round was infinite fun to me mostly thanks to people like you. No need to thank me for that
Actually I was going to put this game there anyway not *only* to retaliate on Al, but because of the manner AlphaGo is built. It uses two sets of artificial neural network. Before it was set to play with humans, it played with itself such amount of games that it would take centuries for a human to play them. This way it learned from its own games. Also Lee Sedol is known of style that I would assign to Al - bold and daring. That time when he was playing with AlphaGo a year ago, he was perceived as the strongest player in the world (he's a 9 dan professional, the highest rank you can achieve, that's where the real game starts), not sure what is his position now, but he's definitely even stronger after those games. I just thought there could be no more relevant game to assign to those two smartasses.
Glad you like the other characters and that you find the stupid things they say funny

Akaszik is definitely right about that! The art in this group is great to look at, and characters are fun (as are stories), but it's the interaction with people that make this worthwhile indeed - it's what's made things so very memorable for me at least! ^^ It was absolutely great to see everyone write and talk with such passion - and some of the conversations I've had (and still have, e.g. with you ^^) were pretty brilliant experiences~!
It was a good ache for sure, and even now I can't stop looking at this piece - aaaaaand I'm smiling again now, gosh! (Tbh, every time I think of this drawing I can feel a smile creep back up on my face XD) Your art style is incredibly impressive, and you put such effort into your works, be it writing stories or getting characterizations right, it's admirable (and your effort shows!) ^^ I'm genuinely glad to have participated the OCT with you and everyone else!
It's so cool that AlphaGo was programmed to understand, know, and calculate/direct such an inhumanly large amount of possibilities and games! There have been several AI-programs set on playing go against human, but AlphaGo is the very first one to win of an absolute go master (if I'm not mistaken in my information, that is ) - 9th dan, dear lord, that's incredible. Lee Sedol only could've gotten out of those matches stronger indeed (I did a quick check, and I believe he's second in the world ranking list atm!)
A bold, somewhat inconvenient playing style would fit Al indeed (), and Aevie, with his many, many years of experience (as well as his high intelligence and observant qualities) definitely knows the game inside out
The stupid things the other characters say are just lovely - although I do have to admit that Bösemann with his silent and his thoughtful frown is my fave from the onlookers XD

Exactly the reasons I come back every round. I've stated it numerous times, but I can repeat myself yet one more time - this project keeps me drawing, thinking and involving in interaction with other authors like nothing else before. It's so great it works on you this well too!
Yes, AlphaGo is the first program to outsmart humans on such level. Me and the WHOLE goists community in the world in fact were absolutely heartbroken in March last year. Everyone suspected Lee Sedol will crush AlphaGo. Nobody expected that. Have you watched Hikaru no Go? It was somewhat like meeting Sai on the board, I imagine.
Oh yeah, he's second only to Lee Changho, player whom I would assign to Aevie (if I didn't already to AlphaGo) about playing style. Lee Changho, the Stone Buddha. I love viewing their games, they're like fire and water on the board.
Not sure if you see it, but there's in fact, it might be difficult to see with his fabulous black suit as a background I might need to fix that since doesn't sound so funny as the whole phrase 👍: 0 ⏩: 0
