Finally sat down to paint this over the last week, though I had the concept a year ago. Mostly, I was thinking that I hadn't painted any cats recently, and that's a shame, because cats are awesome. But I like to do a fantastical spin on things when I can, so: wizard cat.Prints will be available of this starting at Gen Con (August 14-17, 2014). $15 for an 8x10, $25 for an 11x14. As long as the mouse doesn't turn out to be a magic mouse, having nibbled a rare tome or sipped some spilt potion. Then Wizard Cat might have to work a little harder for it's lunch breaks!
I love the concept of the cat being a wizard (Or has the wizard turned himself into a cat and is now stuck that way?)

My idea was that this is a wizard cat belonging to some kind of humanoid wizard (whoever was eating the bread and cheese). Apparently the cat has also picked up some magic somehow and uses it for his own devices.

Ha! If he keeps practicing he might end up being a better wizard than the wizard!
Hey! That's a good story concept, an incompetent wizard who's cat is better at magic than they are and has to constantly save and fix it's masters mistakes.
