Appearance

Kamakubi has long brown hair which reaches her under the buttocks. Her eyes are black and gray (black pupils, gray sclera). Instead of legs, Kamakubi has a long snake tail ending in a horny appendage made up of 14 threaded segments which produces a sound when she waves it. Her skin is initially mat but it has cleared over time and is covered with scales of brown shades from her tail and on her arms.

Her outfit consists of a maroon dress with the sleeves reaching her elbows and covering part of her tail. She constantly wore a slightly lighter surgical mask than her dress. Now she wears a mask in the shape of a black beak reminiscent of those of the plague doctors.

Personality

Kamakubi almost never speaks, not because she is shy but because she is not used to it. She only opens her mouth to make relevant or other remarks, but never to speak of trivialities, she finds this useless, otherwise. Despite this facade, she is a sensitive person, empathetic even generous towards others, finally only towards those whom she appreciates. Indeed, because of her past ill-treatment, Kamakubi remains someone distrustful and apathetic towards those whom she does not know. If you want to see her express herself, you will have to earn her trust and it is not easy if you are not part of the clan. She is ready to do anything to protect those dear to her even to kill.

History

Kamakubi was born with major deformities, in addition to being half snake: almost total blindness, deafness, and therefore mute, and atrophied left lung. She was therefore unlikely to survive or integrate into society. When they became aware of all her malformations, her parents understood that she would only be a burden to them. They "raised" it a few years before selling it to the local mafia as merchandise to allow her parents to get by. Right from the start, they put a sort of muzzle on her that prevented her from opening her mouth and therefore poisoning anyone with her fangs. They had a hard time deciding what to do with her. Her venom was regularly harvested for all kinds of uses for the mafia before attempts were made to train her to become a sex slave. She traveled a lot because of the auctions taking place everywhere until arriving in Japan where she was bought by the boss of the Shie Hassaikai who raised her better than her parents. He traded her muzzle for different surgical masks that she could wear if she wanted to and taught her to communicate with sign language and to read braille. She met Kai when the boss brought him back to the organization. They quickly approached: Kai appreciated her interest in reading and her silence, but he quickly learned of her deplorable state of health. Particularly with asthma attacks, the fact that she did not understand what he was saying to her and that she could not read books other than in braille. He made an effort to learn sign language to speak with her and above all to promise her that he would help her. Years passed and when Kai had enough control over his quirk, he used it on Kamakubi to cure her blindness, deafness and lung. When Kamakubi could see for the first time without her thermal vision, hear and breathe properly, she began to cry of joy. Kai taught her to speak with her tongue and the name of everything around her and to use her hearing until she developed echolocation. She is extremely grateful to him for that. When the idea of destructive quirk drugs came to him, she disapproved but she couldn't bring herself to stand up to him after all that he had done for her and had therefore followed him in this idea.

Powers

Cascavel (がらがら蛇, Garagarahebi): Quirk mutation type. It gives its user apperance of a rattlesnake by the name Crotalus Durissus and its characteristics.

• Fangs: Kamakubi has a pair of solenoglyph hooks. When she opens her mouth, they are thrown forward and she can release her venom with it.

• Venom: Kamakubi's venom is extremely aggressive. It is neurotoxic AND hemotoxic. It therefore attacks blood cells and surrounding tissues which can cause internal bleeding and swelling but also the nervous system which can paralyze her target.

• Moult: Kamakubi moults 3 or even 4 times a year. Her moult allows her to heal herself.

• Scales: Kamakubi's scales allow her to protect herself and camouflage herself in certain environments.

• Thermoregulation: Kamakubi is able to regulate her internal temperature.

• Bifid Tongue: Kamakubi’s tongue allows her to feel the air movement.

• Thermal Vision: Kamakubi can see the temperature differences around her.

• Echolocation: Her hearing is developed enough to feel the vibrations of the slightest noise that surrounds her (movements, breaths, etc.) thanks to that she spots her environment if she can not use her eyes but it also allows her not to be surprised , in general.

• Hypnosis: Kamakubi has developed the ability to hypnotize her victims.

Mastery of Weapons: Kamakubi can handle several types of weapons easily.

Keen Intellect: She acquired the ability to think quickly and therefore adapt quickly to her opponent during a fight
