Being blunt doesn't mean being rude, it just means they're not beating around the bush and just getting to the point. That's all. We're all being blunt at some point, some more than others is all.

Sometimes I like being bluntly honest, but it depends on how personal the subject. I guess.

The truth or only your opinion? The sky is blue. That's the truth. But if that flower, color or person is beautiful or not is just a matter of taste and opinion. People like you seem to think that you "own" the truth and like to impose your point of view as the only one existing.

Really? I honestly prefer blunt honesty over honeyed lies. It annoys me when people ask for honesty and get offended when they get it, but in my eyes, I wouldn't ask for an opinion if I just wanted (what you assumed to be) mine just fed back to me.
Think about it - a woman asks if pants make her ass look fat. If I lie and say no to make her feel better, she will waste money on those pants, and then go walking around town WEARING THEM. For WHO KNOWS HOW MANY YEARS.
Shouldn't I just say they look unflattering and be done with it?
