This GymTHIS WOMAN
Gardenia has killed my inner pokemon trainer.
I usually don't stop training and using my starter pokemon till I get it to lvl 100. And only then I start catching and training other pokemon.
It's just a tactic I've been sticking to for over a decade and so far it worked every time. Never lost a single fight.
UNTIL ETERNA GYM!!!
I haven't played this game since...
Made this comic during the summer and kept it hidden, since I was hoping that I'd edit it so that it makes sense to others too.
But I remembered just now that I'm actually way too lazy to edit stuff xD

*casually beat this gym easily with my Torterra* If you want to beat this gym leader I suggest getting a Torterra,their Razor Leaf move is awesome

she wasnt that hard i made empress(my prinplup)went against her roserade(cause i always put my starter pokemon up against the trainers starter or strongest pokemon)and she(yes my prinplups female) beat her the trick is to use super potions and make sure the gym leader doesnt use a super potion

I had a Luxio named Mickey- his signature move was Bite (later Crunch after he evolved into a Luxray, which is best Pokemon) and I killed that Roselia after, what.... 5 Bites? And I think I lost once. Or maybe never. I dunno, been a while since I did that gym. The icy gym pissed me off, though- even Mickey fell twice.

i find it funny that i beat that gym with a budew because it was lvl 35(trying to evolve it) and the rest of my team were lvl 15 and under. I suck at pokemon games :C

Hated that damn rose thing, KO'ed me every time even with Chimchar as my starter. Hated Gardenia too, as I was expecting a step up from Erika from Kanto as a grass type gym leader. Was disappointed and decided to have Chimchar and Ponyta tag team her weeds on my final run-through of the damn thing.
Volkner, Byron, and Lucian aside, I firmly believe that Pearl/Platinum/Diamond had the worst Gym leaders/Elite 4 to date. Even Cynthia didn't impress me. I enjoyed the pokemon that arrived though.

this is what happened to me, but after 58 or 59 times of trying, i got myself a starly. (if i didnt get that starly, my friend wouldve lent me her chimchar hahaha)

But I remember trying really every attack, after every new attack my piplup and it's evolutions I went back and tried again, failing regardless :C
