Commission forWanted me to do it in a different style so I took a shot at it.
Also the word slime has suddenly become very weird to me. No longer feels like a word. Semantic satiation, I think it's called. Slime. Sliiiiiime.

I had the Shantae game on the orignal DS eshop, didn't finish it before upgrading to the 3DS.
Maybe some day, I wouldn't mind, I've heard how good it is.

Clever storyline. I like the concept of her walking along and suddenly finding her feet stuck fast to the ground. As she struggles and strains to get free, the trap is sprung and now she's hopelessly encased in the slime girl. Nice, strong, sexy legs on the woman getting stuck and trapped, and love how you changed her facial expression from annoyed in the first frame to shocked in the second to bewildered and desperate as she struggles to break free of her slimy prison.

If you are going the tl;dr route by watching it, stick with the Sci-Fi miniseries. It's more faithful even though both versions have Charles Xavier. (You'll have to watch the Sci-Fi sequel, Children of Dune, to fully get the joke.)

I'm actually conflicted as to which style I like better.
You're regular style is so unique and recognizable that I can always tell its one of your pics, even when you aren't the one posting it.
However, I love the cute anime styling of this pic. The fact that you've never done this sort of style before makes it better because, even though its good now, that also means theres room for improvement should you ever return to this style, which means the pics can look better than they already are.
So yeah, hard to say which I like better. I certainly wouldn't be apposed to you flip-flopping back and forth between them though

And funny enough, if were to ever commission you, I would probably want your regular style. Getting a pic from you is one of my bucket list things, and if it was in this style, it probably wouldn't feel the same because its not the style of yours i'm use to.
