I really like the shadows and lighting in this one the most rather than just a bland grey shade in other photos of these weapons together

I have to disagree. With harsh light.. it takes the details out from what i am trying to capture. That you and you get reflections and light bounces which results in a mess. Unless you are at the exact right angle like this shot was taken.
I guess different strokes for different folks.
