Description A World of Superheroes...is very crapsacky...
Basically, Germany and Buddies, vs. Japan and Buddies, v. Great Britain and friends, V. Argentina and buds.

It's a horrible world to live in... I'll fill things in later.

I always wondered, are these Superman-esque immortals who zoom around shooting lazers from their eyes or Marvel style, "can-take-a-butt-tonne-of-damage-and-are-ridiculously-strong-and-agile-but-can-still-be-killed" heroes?

Everything from a man with an uncanny ability to do stupid magic tricks to Dr. Manhattan-like God-am-I characters. All can be killed; though many it takes a shit-tonne  of fire power to do so (all the world-powers have nuclear devices on hand in case someone with Superman powers gets uppity). Some have the will and ability to allow their mind to continue on in death (like a ghost but more scientific).

Luckily the greater powers you have the more likely you are to die early, so though there is a visible minority of supers that have Super-man level skills, the majority are Spiderman powered or less, only significantly less effective at crime-fighting.

Like that guy in The Watchmen?  Cool.  I tried to do a similar thing with the great powers developing the Marvel "super serum" used on Captain America, and kind of on the Hulk, in the 1900s (late 19th century super-science and all that).

Speaking of which what level is the Irish super on?  Since he was kidnapped and brainwashed by the IRA I'd assume limited, but as you say they convinced him he was the reincarnation of a deity so...

Nemain is pretty close to the power level of Golden Age Superman (the faster than a speeding bullet, stronger than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings etc, but no much stronger. Certainly not modern 'lol I'm invincible, like speed of light super' Superman)
...except delusionally clinging to the belief that she was sent by the gods to 'free' Ireland. Y'know usual depraved stuff.

It's a female?  Well I'll be damned to the underworld, only to reemerge on Samhain.

"Both have done well at the expense of natives and the environment"

Isn't that OTL Australia?

But things have progressed at a much faster rate, so they're seeing the damage done by the late '80s in the mid '50s.

If heroes stand for what is right, then what happens when we have two heroes who disagree but think they are both right?

Tis the question of humanity, more or less.
