Description Occult Heroes: Heka (Ancient Egyptian Magic). This is The Pharaoh (Mustafa Khalfani).

The Ancient Egyptians saw power in words, both written and spoken. It was very important to pick a good day in order to cast a spell, as there were lucky and unlucky days. The place in which the spell was cast was also important, with many choosing a cave or dark room. There were long periods - days - of preparation required before performing a ritual. The words were often accompanied by exaggerated gestures.

Although some peasants used it for warding off pests and such, Heka was primarily used by the Pharoahs and their Priests; particularly for the Pharaohs' safe passage through the afterlife. Gods and spirits were summoned, and even threatened, to ensure the best possible outcome.

The idea of threatening the gods appealed to me, so I decided to make this character a two-fisted pulp hero in the vein of Doc Savage. Claiming to be a direct descendant of Ancient Egyptian pharaohs, Khalfani uses a combination of super-science, magic, his quick wits, and his considerable fighting skills to battle evil wherever he finds it.
