Please spay or neuter your pets. There are already way too many unwanted animals, and the life of a cat or dog isn't worth the excuses "I want my children to see the miracle of life," "Fixing pets takes away their personality," "It's too expensive," and so on (all real excuses I've come across).Also, please adopt pets from shelters instead from buying them from stores or from a neighbor who didn't bother to get Mitzi fixed. This only promotes puppy mills and careless behavior on the part of pet owners. Besides, when you get your pet from somewhere else, you're giving up the chance to meet and love some of the sweetest animals out there, most of them unwanted and considered "too old" to find a home.

well i odnt really think people need to spay their animals, just to take care fo them and the ones tht need it >.<
also, i agree on the shelters thing. there are many beautiful pups there that need home and deserve one <3

i agree! people need to spay and neuter their pets! i find so many pets dropped off in my part of the world and it makes me so sad! too many people want to breed every darn pet they get just to see the small puppies but its really sad. they most always end up in the shelter and so many have to die because people are just not smart. this is just my opinion. wonderful pix^^

Exactly. I know many people, adults mostly, who want to breed their pets for no good reason, really. They often do it so their children can see what they call "the miracle of life" and they excuse it by flippantly saying that people always want kittens or puppies and that they should be easy to sell. Most of these animals end up remaining in the home they came from or in a shelter.
One of my aunt's cats came from just such a home: she was campaigning for my uncle, who was running for political office at the time, and one of the homes she went to offered her a free kitten as he couldn't find homes for them after his wife bred their cat. I find it terribly sad that someone would be desperate enough to give away a cat to what was essentially a solicitor.

That is the cutest! I hate how people would just leave their dogs like that, or even hurt them. It makes me cry, especially because I can't do anything about it.

oh my gosh it looks just like Benji. i saw it and i was like 'no way!' i had a dog about a year ago, he was a birthday present from my best friend who's mum works at a dog shelter the mother had him and 3 others just after she arrived there. but he died when i only had him for 7 months, we went to my grandparents farm and he got away from my little brother and then was hit by the tractor. i was so sad he was the best little puppy ever. he didn't even attack my cat or do his business inside once.
