"I know it kind of looks bad"
WRONG.
This may not be as close to the original artwork as your other pencil drawings, but it's its own kind of awesome. Again, your shading is impressive, as is your colouring. If you hadn't said you'd coloured in GIMP, I would have guessed pencil crayons.

Perfect Colors, and Lines
I liked the way you do his mouth , his head overall(i think itΒ΄s wrong but...), it looks more realistic,
I prefere the design of Melee/adventures, and assault was fine, but I realy likes the way that he moves his mouth to talk in adventures, it looked so smooth and realistic, it was a shame that in assault his mouth wasenΒ΄t that way
I liked the crew suit in assault, and falco design was cool to
LetΒ΄s wait to see the full body of the crew in the SF 64 3D
falco looks awesome so far!

Awesome work, man. He's my boy there and one you don't want to mess with. Now let's just hope that the Big N hopefully reveals a new Starfox Wii game at this year's E3 coming up. I have been waiting for 4 years on one and now should be the right time to do it. ^^

Thanks ^^
I've been pretty anxious these last four years as well... hopefully Nintendo hasn't completely abandoned the franchise

I'm way ahead of you, man. Besides, Shigeru Miyamoto(creator of the series) stated in an interview last year that he really wants to bring it on the Wii and he is going to do whatever it takes for it to happen. Trust me, he also mentioned that he is a big fan of the series. Otherwise, why would he have bothered mentioning it back 4 years ago? I don't want to see Fox being reduced to a fighter to only appear in future Smash Bros. games from now on. Because that would piss off a lot of their fans and would cause an uproar. But knowing the Big N, I don't think that they would be that stupid to go that far in doing that. It's going to have to come out on the Wii sooner or later. Now that they have given the release dates for Galaxy 2(May 23, 2010) and Metroid Other M(June 27, 2010) since E3 is going to be in June 15-17, 2010, this leaves a huge gap for Nintendo to start revealing some of their other 1st-party franchises that we haven't seen on the Wii as of this moment such as Starfox(most demanded that people are begging for it this year since it is getting a lot of attention), F-Zero, Kirby and Pikmin. The can't rely on the Mario, Zelda and the Metroid series forver to satisfy their core gamers because it is not enough.

this is awesome! when you submit a video what kind of mechanical 0.5 pencil do you use and how do you draw with the camera sitting still?

I use one with HB lead, and the camera's just sitting on a wire basket.

It's an Espina pearly rubber MA3 300. It was a gift, so I'm not sure where you'd be able to find one. Sorry :/

You must have a computer's memory to be able to draw him so greatly. Again, I love how parts of your own style melded in with the original image you had in mind. It's very entertaining.

The power of positive thinking can change a lot of things. Normally when people are in a 'mood,' not just happy but in any attitude in general, it can be seen on their artwork and make it look better or worse. If you think about what you are doing right as you are drawing, I bet it could be what you are looking for when it comes to just those few kinks you say you have.

Well, I guess it depends on what you define as canon in the Star Fox series, and what character you were aiming for....each game has brought a near complete redesign.
there's the StarFox (SNES) Fox, the StarFox 2 Fox, the SF64 Fox, SF Adventures, SF Assault, SF Command, and Brawl (the first two smash brothers based their designs on SF64).
I'm partial to (if you want the most modern graphical look) Super Smash Brothers melee look...it's most fitting and realistic IMHO, and he still retain his stark-contrasted blue eyes.
Either way, this picture is great, dunno what you're complaining about!

I definitely liked his outfit in Brawl. But for overall appearance, I'd pick the design they had in Starfox 2. I really liked the little "thumbs up" animation he did in that game; it's a shame it never took off. I've been wanting to draw a full-body adaptation of his appearance from Starfox 2, although I'm still not quite sure how to approach it.

I like the outfit in Brawl, but don't like Fox's physical design, or, rather, his head; it looks like a gumdrop still, and I don't care for that.
I thought the SF2 design was unique, as well, though I'd like to see the full-body design (there never was one :T )
