I wonder how Pear Spice reacted to Grand Pear disowning their daughter.

I think she was worse than him while interacting towards the foe family, and she labeled her as dead for marrying 'a gosh-darned Apple'.
In my headcanon she didn't accept her husband growing softer with old age and considering a reunion with their estranged part of family, and decided to abandon him as a result.

I figured Grand Pear would either be forced to stay in Vanhoover and never see her again till Pear Spice was dead, or have to keep her in Vanhoover so she doesn’t come after Pear Butter.

That’s true. I’m just glad Grand Pear came to his senses, though at the cost of so much in his life.

He probably would be doomed for the rest of his life to regret his daughter, the stallion he refused to accept as an acquired son, the missing years of his grandchildren.

I admit I would have never thought of such tragic backstory for the Apple Family. I mean, AJ's parents are dead, but that feud was really sad...

Yes it was. It makes my blood boil when I think about it at the same time though, as Bright and Buttercup were basically caught in the crossfire of basically a watered-down and more emotional version of the “HoofFields and McColts.”

The even sadder part is that someone could relate in it.
