growing your nails means that you have to take care of them, too, and it depends on your dedication and what your daily life is like. you're pretty tomboyish so having nails wouldn't be the greatest idea probably.. I can see them breaking a lot on you. XD If you really want though you can buy nail strengtheners that is just like a clear nail polish and it helps harden your nails and help they grow usually, I think.
and it varies with nail polish.. some are really cheap and peel and chip really easily, but the key to keeping nail polish on is to buy a good top coat nail polish. (and a base coat polish helps as well, which prevents nail polish from bleeding into your nail when you try to take it off) if you don't have those, though, or just don't want em, another tip is to swipe the tips of your nails. not like the top of the nail where the colour goes, but literally the tip or the "side", which isn't thick at all, but putting polish there can help hold it a little longer, like a small hook grabbing onto the end of your nail sort of thing.
