Description The title is actually Pollution in an "Eggshell" ( deviantArt doesn't allow quotation marks).

These were actually eggs that I was going to throw out, because they broke when I was blowing out yolks for other egg projects I wanted to work on.
Really glad I'm a hoarder and decided to keep broken egg shells. xD

Artists statement-
My piece is about the three main types of environmental pollution by mankind. Pollution in water, on land, and in the air. I represented these events through eggs in order to express how fragile our world actually is. We are deceived by a hard, solid shell that is not as tough as it may appear to be. Once the egg cracks, it cannot be completely repaired to its original state.
The eggs in this piece have been supposedly cracked and damaged by pollution. The "water egg" displays human piping that runs through / dumps into bodies of water, and refined oil is spilling out and off of the base of the piece. The "city egg" is expelling a combination of human biowastes, non-decomposable garbage, and toxic sludge. The "smokestack egg" features silhouetted smokestacks that are expelling toxic fumes into the atmosphere.
The composition is intentionally in the shape of an hourglass, however this detail is unimportant and simply serves as a treat for those who notice it. It symbolizes the fact that it is only a matter of time that we will run out of time to save our planet.

Materials-
Cheese box lid, chicken eggs, acrylic paint, hot glue, plastic beads, polyester cotton, charcoal, gel medium.

Thank you! It was polyester cotton that I colored with, like, charcoal and glue or something xD and I used glue and hairspray to keep the cloud looking like that..I think. I used a lot of random stuff.

A very interesting piece I have to say!
I like how you just described three ways of contamination that the man has caused to the planet.
The water and the waste looked very realistic for me.
And didn't noticed the Hourglass shape at first, just when I read the description.

Nicely done!

(This deserves a DD)
