This photo isn't the best but I'll use it anyway.

This was an assignment, "Transformation", must be at least 50% from life.

My idea was very complex, but limited time plus being overwhelmed from having such a huge idea resulted in a lot of failure. This is only a smidgen of what I had in mind, it's pretty disappointing. xc

Anyway I wanted to demonstrate a plant's version of human technological advancements, along with the way insects would evolve mutually with the plants...
This portion of the idea is showing a more efficient way for this plant to obtain water through pipe systems.
And the insects are the tools that help maintain these pipes.

Some bugs are harmful to the environment though, so I threw in one inspired by bombarder beetles, who erodes the pipes.
Then the bug that looks like a termite can pierce through the pipes.

The one with the screwdriver is a lantern bug.
The one with clamp thingys is an earwig, and the other two wrench things are stag beetles.

Watercolors, colored pencil, gesso, charcoal...and just a bunch of other art stuff.
