So what happens in the event of an AFL tie, like the one between Battaman and Virtus back in Round 4?
My general rule? A mish-mash of events of the fight happened, or at least the things that an artist wants to take with the character moving forward.
obviously has big things in store for Battaman, so I believe I helped avoid any complications by deliberately making Virt's memories of the event not entirely inaccurate, but at the very least too unreliable for him to put two and two together on what exactly happened...
Basically, his memory is a deliberate and highly meta-fictional continuity snarl. You can justify this thanks to Schnurmaster's mists, ooooooorrrrr....?
If you think this page is continuity-heavy, just you wait for the next one, which I have affectionately nicknamed "the diagram..."

Eris has found herself smack dab in the middle of converging timelines more than once in this tournament, hasn't she? Round 3, her time-turned victory that evaded apocalyptic repercussions in Round 5...
I like that people are jumping upon the idea of memories getting jumbled and reshuffled, as Vex stated that Battaman had similar headaches brought about by the end of Round 3...

The AFL works in mysterious ways, Battaman was having very similar headaches at the start of Round 4 due to having a tie in his previous match too. Then again, he was also getting those migraines from being healed and forced to regain the memories of his... hiatus. Also, your recreations of some of my fight's panels are awesome and appreciated!

I like that people are jumping upon the idea of memories getting reshuffled, jumbled and sometimes downright erased as an indirect cause of the ripples in time. A good way to explain fighters that ceased to exist during AFL, yet their opponents still gathered points.
It's quite possibly the toughest page I've ever had to draw.

Good idea concerning ties, just take what you enjoyed the most from both entries for character development.

Exactly. Time has already been tinkered with (Caristine pulling Lucia out in Round 3, Cross manipulating events so that Battaman didn't destroy Planet AFL in Round 5) so there is room for ANYTHING to be either kept or discarded as one sees fit.
And any inconsistencies (battles that never happened, fighters whose involvement became non-canon...) will be addressed next page. It's most definitely the most continuity heavy page out of this epilogue, if not for the entirety of Planet AFL.
