Well, in Sonic's defense, parachutes are pretty safe... They're used to save yourself from plane crashes.

Oh, my word, man! What a truly stunning drawing of Sonic in a parachute and being pulled along by the plane ridden by Tails and with Knuckles sitting on top! So amazing with how you drew them!

It's my dear little X'Air to the life and the Team Sonic trio look so happy and relaxed just stooging around up there. Β Even Knux looks chilled out sitting out in the breeze.
I love all the details, everyones poses, paragliding Sonic and Tails with one tail dangling out, the beautiful shiny pod and the so-difficult transparencies and prop blur!

I admit I had so much fun drawing this, too. I had a few Google pics to reference the plane (all these struts and whatnot!), and it was really fun to do something else but a Tornado for once! I'm pretty dang proud of the propeller and glass, I was heavily referencing it from the photos, but it turned out a lot better than any earlier attempts at something similar.
Had a blast with the trio's antics, too. Knuckles turned out all relaxed looking with windswept spines (he's at home among the clouds), Tails ended up all chilled out as well, going with the sunset mood, but the madness levels had to be upped for Sonic!

Yeah Knuckles has every reason to be perfectly comfortable burbling around the sky, not like he needs to worry about falling after all (Well, as long as he stays sitting outboard on the wing there, not closer in to take a header through the prop!)
And Sonic obviously has to just up the game somehow!Β I'm sure he thinks sticking out is the whole point anyway.

Yes, and I believe he's really familiar with that type of view, too, living on a floating island and all.
(Better not get closer to the prop, yeah... Is the mental image revenge for the image of laser chopped up hedgehog? 
Coming to think of it, none of them really worry about falling. Knuckles and Tails don't need to, and Sonic just doesn't do worry!
He'll probably get bored without anything crazy to do! And of course he'll think it natural he's an eyecatcher on every picture he ends up on!

In most continuities, he's probably right in his element there! Unless we're talking Sonic X. Sonic seems to avoid attention as much as he occasionally enjoys it there... It seems a form of day thing!

I like this side about him (the games leave a lot of empty space to fit it in, too); it somehow makes him feel more balanced. Like he takes time to recharge occasionally.

I suppose by dint of the fact Sonic is outraegeously faster than everyone else running mostly is a solitary activity which gives him space anyway.

It's not really a group activity even without that. Sure, you see people running together (and it's one of the standard advices for people wanting to take it up, to run in a group), but you also see many people running alone, and personally I can't imagine actually enjoying running with other people near as much as by myself. It's a solitary activity either way to me.

I absolutely love the clouds and how fluffy you made them look, and well you painted the light and shadows on them. And the sun's so bright! And the plaaane's so metallic-looking and everything about this is almost perfect, honestly!Β

To be honest, I'm not a hundred percent sure. Two hours on the characters and plane, and a little more than that for the background? I wasn't keeping track, and I didn't draw it in one sitting. 
Thank you! The light and shadow is the trickiest thing to get right on clouds! I looked at a lot of photos to compare colours and how they would change further away from the sun. Glad they appeal!
I wasn't sure if the plane turned out metallic-looking (actually, I'm not even sure this type of plane is metal, because some planes aren't), but it was the look I was going for.
