I don't think "Fame" should be what matters, though. Rather, enjoying what you do. Voltaire makes a living out of doing things he love because he has fans who support him. Sure, it would be nice if more people noticed him and supported him, but I don't think that ever was - or should be - the goal. It's an interesting discussion though.
And yes, go Voltaire!
