Nael. In The Once and Future Kings and A Time of Thunder. Nael is a shard or avatar of Eru, like Elgalad in the Dark Prince series or Samael in the Stormbringers trilogy. It’s unclear as to whether he has his own agency and becomes his own person, which is fine by me as I would rather leave it ambiguous. Eru cannot be sensed by Vanimórë or the Flame Imperishable; he can hide himself even from them and his desires are unfathomable. Sometimes he helps, sometimes he brings disaster.
