This has been my favorite fairy tale since I was little. But the version I read the words exchanged were: 'Alas Falada, hanging there!' 'Alas Princess, how ill you fare! If this your tender mother knew, I fear her heart would break in two.'

my favorite book ever... the reason it is so good is she kept to the character of the original girl in the origanal story

Very nice, it's good to see less well-known fairytales ilustrated. The colours are lovely, and I like to think that thje goose is a bit confused about a dead horse's head talking!
