Description
This is my favorite band Merry!! The awesome requested that I draw this. From left to right they are : Nero (drums), Kenichi (guitars), Gara (vocals), Yuu (guitars), and Tetsu (bass). I used a lot of photo references while doing this picture, mostly from the photos in and relating to Nu Chemical Rhetoric which is, btw, an awesome CD. Everything of Merry's is awesome.

Okay, this got published in Purple Sky, a North American jrock fan magazine! I was very happy about this. Thought I might mention it to future onlookers.

Their hair is just absolutely awesome, I love all the colors and the streaking you use, with the big blue fade in the outfits.

That's Nero. I worked the hardest on him because the person I drew this for likes him the most. So, yah, glad you think he came out okay!!

Haraiso is really an awesome song. And you got Violent Harenchi to work! XD The only thing is, Merry CDs are kind of hard to find sometimes. Though Nu Chemical Rhetoric (their latest album and major label debut) and their indies best of CD should be easy enough to obtain. I actually bought both of those, but good luck with their other CDs.

Yes, it's watercolor. Except the dark black areas, those are acrylic.

This probably took in the 8 hour range overall. Sometimes a painting this size would take longer if I'm having troubles coming up with subject matter, but I already knew who I was drawing. I usually break my paintings up over one or two, maybe 3 days, drawing 2 or 3 hours at a time... but I spent the whole other day drawing this because, while I had other things to do, I really didn't want to do them...
