Ship in Avangers is sometning like modern avia-carriers. Intercetors start flying from its deck.

This design is more like modern cargo helicopters i.e. cargo (vehicles or spice containers in Dune Universe) is connected to the bottom of this ship.

You can see such air vehicles in any Tiberium series game.

Also you can find the crane system under the number 6 on a list. i assume Avenger's ship doesnt have one cause its a military air-carrier))
