This is Buttons (left) and Buddy (right), two sisters from the same momma but different daddies.... We know who Buttons's daddy is because all of that tomcat's kittens end up with white whiskers...
Their mom got around...
But then, they're cats. It's just cat society. And I caught them in a sweet, staying-still moment. It's a cat miracle!

Cats are amazing. I prefer them to dogs. I got a cat some years from Katrina, also known as 'Kat'. She was a mildly eccentric Tabby. (the cat not Kat, although she was a bit eccentric as well). I'd been away for a couple of weeks one time and a pal was looking after her at my house. She used to sit at the open top window in the kitchen, she was definitely, not a house cat, I used to get presents of birds and young rabbits. I was walking back to the house and she saw me coming down the road (street) and jumped down and raced towards me, then jumped up onto my shoulder purring loud enough to wake the dead. Even a cold hearted old git like myself was touched. She had a favourite trick of waiting till we'd put the bedside light then jumping down onto us from the wardrobe. She really must have had good night vision as she infallibly got the most sensitive part to land on. Ha, Ha.
