People say Celestia and Luna were bonded to three Elements each. I call bull on that. Based on this mostly. Look at the Elements.
How do we know for sure that they're connected to one princess in particular? Just because each one is holding three, doesn't mean anything.

If you included Cadance and divided the Elements into 2 groups of 3, I imagine this is what each alicorn princess would represent:

The thing about that is that at one time Luna had all of those traits.
Luna wielder of Loyalty: Was loyal to her sister.
Luna wielder of Laughter: Made her sister laugh.
Luna wielder of Honesty: Had her personal feelings on so many things ignored.
She became bitter. She was still a filly at heart and had not yet learned to deal with everything.
She became irate.
If you have siblings you can understand how angry they can make you.
Especially when you are ignored.

If "I" have siblings? You have no idea. I do have siblings. Three older brothers. I'm the youngest. What I don't understand is Luna, she doesn't thought out her plan of eternal night. Wanting her night to be appreciated, yet she's going to kill her subjects. I have been ignored, but it's rather easy to get over and talk it over face-to-face (something Celestia tried to do but Luna refused).

Her intention wasn't to kill her subjects. She felt unappreciated and went too far, if you ignore a child too much they will act out. It's pretty much immature human behavior. The way it is portrayed in the show pretty much hits the nail on the head. She has too much power and is too young to understand the importance even if she is ignored.

True enough, although the colours used here do differ slightly from the show in order to be more apparent through the magic effect which is also more saturated here.

Have you looked at the Elements colors of the past and present? The orange element is the same color as Applejack's honest. And the dark purple is the same color as Rarity's generosity. I don't know how could you messed that up.

Huh, are you in some sort of denial? The colors of the gems the sisters make it clear that Celestia wields Magic, Kindness, and Generosity while Luna wields Honesty, Loyalty, and Laughter.
More the book by Amy Kething Rogers, with the help of Lauren Faust herself, titled the Journal of the Two Sisters confirms Luna is the prankster and fun loving one while Celestia is the more serious one.
Luna has the Element of Laughter while Celestia has the Element of Generosity, accept it.

I'm not against it, I just think Celestia is better suited for honsty kindness and magic. Luna seems better for laughter loyalty and generosity. she has more one on on time with her subjects because she is princess of the moon/night. and sorry for calling u a troll that was a bit out of line. I like to focus on the inner meaning of the actions of the princess and background characters because as an audience we (the brony's) make our own assumptions to them from their actions and names. I love doing so because it helps me understand everyone's own opinion

Wait? Your saying Celestia should have honesty? But Celestia withholds a full truth, letting ponies come to thier own conclusions without correcting them if they are wrong. A mare who has likely had to hide her innerself from others.
Yet Luna is more open and honest when speaking with others, speaking plainly and even bluntly. She does not hold back her thoughts and feelings.
How and why would you think Celestia has the Element of Honesty in your mind?

I apologize for my confusion, many fans tend to give Luna the Element of Generosity and Celestia the Element of Laughter... I have never seen anyone give Celestia the Element of Honesty, fans always giving that element to Luna. This suprised me.

Celestia tends to show honesty as much as she can but let's face it, everyone has secrets and darker selves, but we don't know if Luna does. Luna was never honest with Celestia and that cost her 1,000 years. Celestia has always been honest when questioned about something. Lunq is my favorite though. always and forever

Yet Luna has shown hint of hiding stuff and manipulating others with half truth, instead she is quite straightforward and honest with others around her.
Also, apart from the Nightmare arc of the comics and The Journal of the Two Sisters, we don't have anything that could offer what happen a thousand years ago or what the sisters traits were back then. If you do count these it shows quite clearly why Luna is more honest and thus a better fit for the Element of Honesty.

well in a way we do from the castle episode we see Luna liked having fun around the castle cause of its boobie traps. and I haven't read the comics or read that journal yet. and besides, they changed from then over a thousand years ago so we shouldn't compare them to the now ya know?

I can agree with that, heck I would think anyone, no matter how serious, who was over a thousand years old and had ruled alone for so long would have to gain a sense of humor or be dragged down by everything around her (Celestia).
With this it is quite possible the prankster and fun loving one would become serious, grave, and traditionalistic given the monster she had become and the darkness she had allowed to over take her... becoming a threat to those she was supposed to protect (Luna)
