I once went to an art exhibition in Birmingham (England) and the main part of the exhibition was this Super-Realism - there was one painting (I thought it was a super blow-up of a photograph) and it was of a large American Cadillac rotting away in an over-grown garden.
The painting covered the whole of one wall and the wall was huge.
If you walked up to the painting and stood as close as you could (behind the barrier) you could see all the bits of rust flakes and the tiniest reflections in the dulled chrome hub caps.
Fantastic !!

wow!
i love art shows. so much fun.
they had this one kinetic art show a few weeks ago, and they had these things that drew on the walls when you walked up to them, and then a bunch all together that made music in a room.
it was excellent.

That's sounds fantastic. The audience produce the drawings. Great.

yes! it wasn't very responsive to people though. it would've been so cool if it were though.

Why wasn't it responsive ?

it didn't really change, or respond.
it was more or less set off by a motion sensor on to a predetermined course of action [like circles]

I see - so although it responded there was no intelligence, no feed-back loop to modify it's responses.
This amazed me on YouTube, this has got intelligence of a sort - it's an interactive wooden mirror that interacts with the viewer :-

I can't find anything else.

Scary in a non-obviously scary way.
maybe more creepy.
But so good.

I love art that people think is crazy. I like wondering why they made it.
Have you seen 'the watchmen'?

watchmen is absolutely amazing. you need to watch it.
it totally re-invents the concept of superheroes as human, they're all flawed.
it's really interesting, but very confusing if you haven't read the comic.
is 'a bit special' a good thing?
