And here we have the incredibly late - Darkrai!This pic is pretty darn simple, and that's because I wanted to make sure I would finish it on time while still making sure it'd look alright. Results: 5 days late, ended up with a pic that could've been so much more.
Oh well.
Here, have a spoopy Freddy Krueger Darkrai.

Oh damn, I just realised I didn't notice this at all and cleared my messy watch list without seeing it ;-;
Ok so firstly, I really love how you made the picture look spooky with a bright red moon. It's a nice contrast to the dark night, and gives off a nice effect. Same goes for the glowy eyes, I'm a sucker for lighting and contrast. I also love the ghostly ripples (?) on Darkrai's hair and his shoulders. The trees are subtle and add to the detail
In conclusion, I really like what you've done with this piece, and the subtle and small details are great, not unnecessary, and add to the piece. I don't see anything wrong and I don't believe there's much to improve on (you said it was simple but I think the simplicity is fine), so good job! And sorry for the really late reply ;-;

This literally took my breath away, I was just staring at it for a good minute or so.
It may be simple, but the imagery is powerful!
The blood moon, the dark, withered tree branches and the ominous presence of Darkrai just really fits together! I especially love the moon, it's very detailed~ And I like how wavy Darkrai's things are, almost makes it feel like he's angered or something and they're going out of control O:
The gentle eye glow is nice too~

I love that blood/red/orange moon behind him this is like your most spooky pic ever Spino~
The most intense feature is his one droopy looking eye to me, that is spooky as anything, and creepy.
I'm loving your backgrounds, they always have that beautiful painted feel to them (sorry if I've repeated myself over this but I mean it), love all of the branches as well, those are very nice, and fitting as well.
Also, that flowing cloth/spookiness from Darkrai is a nice touch, and as usual everything is shaded perfectly~ (love the red lighting on Darkrai from the moon.)

MAN this is fantastic. Its really cool seeing you play around with lighting like this. I think this is the first monthly that really immerses the pokemon in its environment and that works wonders, keep it up Spino!

Thank you, I'm very glad you like it! The red moon scenery was actually something I wanted to use in a Giratina drawing but since my time was a bit limited with this one, I used it here instead. Good to know it wasn't that bad of a decision, haha!
