Description Furnas Township Fire Department Station 24 is located in west central Furnas Township and protects a largely residential area. Station 24 is staffed by 5 firefighters, 2 paramedics, and 1 battalion chief. Station 24 is home to Engine 24, Medic 24, Support 24, and battalion 2. 

Engine 24: (1750gpm/750gal) Engine 24 is staffed with 4 personnel with one always being a firefighter/paramedic. EG24 responds to all calls in station 24s first due area. Due to its proximity to Wilson Township, EG24 responds regularly as automatic aid. 

Medic 24: Medic 24 is staffed with 2 paramedics and mainly covers the west side of Furnas Township. MD 24 covers all of Station 24s area and the eastern side of station 61s area. 

Support 24: (ex SQ21) Tactical 24 serves multiple roles for FTFD. It is equipped with multiple SCBA bottles and a mobile cascade unit for working fires. It also is equipped with numerous lights and ventilation fans. SU24 is also equipped with a large amount of oil dry and responds to all fuel/oil leaks in the township. It is staffed with one firefighter who is also a SCBA service technician. 

Battalion 2: BC2 is staffed with one battalion chief and serves as the shift commander for FTFD. The Battalion responds to all major and working incidents within the township.
