Description This station is the “Headquarters” for the District as the administration offices are located on the same property in a house just to the South of the Station. Station 22 houses six apparatus and is staffed by four firefighters/EMTs and a Battalion Chief. Battalion 22 is also housed at the administration building. Station 22 covers a suburban area with some commercial and rural areas in Salt Creek and Polk Townships, as well as portions of Interstate 96, SR-37, SR-446, US-46. Station 22 is home to Engine 22, Rescue 22, Tanker 22, Brush 22, Squad 22, and Battalion 22. 

Engine 22: (1000gpm/1500gal) This unit responds first due for most fire calls. In addition to firefighting equipment, E22 carries a set of extrication tools and a 10kw hydraulic generator. E22 has a twin at E21.

Rescue 22: (1500gpm/700gal/30gal ) R22 responds first-due for accidents and rescue calls from busy Station 22. This apparatus carries a full set of battery extrication tools, a full set of rescue struts, rope rescue gear and and inflatable banana boat. 

Tanker 221000gpm/2000gal) Tanker 22 responds first out to all fire calls in non hydranted areas. This rig includes a 10kw hydraulic generator, LED compartment lights, an EMS comp in the cab, a back-up camera and ladders through the tank.

Brush 22: (250gpm/300gal) Brush 22 if first out on brush fires from station 22. 

Squad 22: Squad 22 is first-due for medical calls from Station 22. This unique vehicle includes a brow light, a light bar and winch in the front bumper guard and a Nightscan light tower.

Battalion 22: This unit serves as the battalion chief for the east side of the county.
