Description Part two of my figure drawing homework. Our assignment was to sketch 5 hands and 5 feet from Bridgeman's Complete Guide to Drawing from Life (which I must say is an awesome book).
These'd be the hands, in case you couldn't figure that out.
I'm much happier with how these ones turned out than the feet. Probably something to do with the fact that I really enjoy drawing hands. Hands are beautiful...one of my favorite subject matters.

Ballpoint pen on Strathmore drawing paper.

These look great. I have heard several Β ways to use the Bridgeman book. Β Did you just copy or is there another way to go about?

I've ventured in this book myself, I loved it. Not only Artistic hand anatomy but alot of medical information as well, I liked it. Hands are more difficult than the whole body in my opinion. Lots of small details in small spaces. The possibilities of hand poses are never ending. Great sketches, love em...

Out of all the anatomy books I've read through and practiced from bridgeman's to me atleast, is the most anatomically correct. I glance at another book but bridgeman is what I started with and what I still use.

Feel free! Though I'd recommend using the book itself, since the original drawings are more anatomically accurate than my own.

I'd love to see something like this and the last one applied to furries. There are so many ways people draw hands and feet and they range from various locations of pads, length, joints, digitigrade/plantigrade, etc. Would be fun to see focused stuff like this
