Description
In order to keep my brain from spontaneously combusting the second I start working on my next AP piece...I decided to take a small break from my painstakingly tedious AP concentration stuff and do something entirely free.So I put on the RotK soundtrack, opened up painter, started painting to the music, and came out with this.
I don't know what it is really...I mean it's obviously a dead tree...but I mean, I don't know why it's there, why it's dead, or any of the significance in general. It's 2am and I just needed something to help me relax.
For the record...the RotK soundtrack is teh awesome.

Ooooo, verrah pretty!! RotK soundtrack KICKS...but I had to say, maybe the music and the story were unknowingly influencing the art. Y'know, the book RotK does explain a lot more about the White Tree, dead in it's courtyard, of when it was once beautiful...odd coincidence, maybe?

I'm actually still working on the books, and I've not gotten to the part about the white tree yet, but I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for that. I'm pretty sure the concept for this picture was influenced by my memories of the white tree in the films though. 
I remember some symbolism about it being dead during the rule of the stewards...and then flowers blooming once Aragorn became king...or something of that sort.

you know the RotK soundtrack is awesome. I have it too. Many of my drawins got inspiried by it. :3 My fave song is The Black Gate Opens, that one with the flute solo. It's teh best.

It might be just me, but did u creat that tree by using white an purplish noise in compination with the .... oooo what's it called 
but if anything else, it looks great ^^

Nope, no filters used. I just painted it with a watercolor brush in Corel Painter 8

Nice. The tree almost feels like a ghost. Still-lifes are hard to do, but you pulled this one off well.
